It is the confession, not the priest, that gives us absolution.
I confess...
That I have not been able to handle being sick this week, normally I still go about my business but apparently I caught the dreaded man cold. General household cleanliness has suffered greatly and I'd almost rather move out than tackle it.

I confess...
It's been 25 days since I've had a cigarette and apparently now people think that it actually counts because when they check in with me to see how I'm doing their responses are much more enthusiastic. I guess this means I've really accomplished something.

I confess...
That at times I am so socially awkward that I can feel complete strangers cringing for me and then sometimes I'm a complete smooth operator (what an awkward phrase that totally invalidates my point) I wish I could control it a little better. Or as a friend recently pointed out, I don't have an evil twin, I have an awkward one.
I confess...
That I keep putting off going to an actual yoga studio even though I promised myself I would leave my living room. I know I would do fine in a beginners class, it's just that something is holding me back. Maybe I need to put the word out so someone forcibly drags me.
I confess...
That I have a love/hate relationship with the size of my bosom. Sometimes it's fun and other times it's inconvenient I wish there was some kind of inflation/deflation system I could install to make life easier. This helps me laugh about it though.
I confess...
That I was so excited when I found out Les Miserables was going to be a movie and upon finally seeing it I wasn't nearly as impressed as I thought I would be. The extreme close ups freaked me out and I thought most of the vocal performances just weren't that great, though I did notice I seemed to tolerate them more as the movie went on and I got used to them. Given the choice I would still pick the 10th anniversary concert over anything else Les Miserables related if I had 2.5 hours to spare. I got it for my birthday when it came out in 1998 and literally wore out the VHS because I loved it so much.

Well, it's said that it takes 3 weeks to establish or break a habit, so maybe that's why people are responding so much better your continued non-smoking.
ReplyDeleteI think we need to make a pact with each other to get to yoga one day this month because I keep saying that I want to go as well, but never do.
Thanks for linking up for Friday Confessional. Just as an FYI, the party is officially a High-Heeled Love party, and Mamarazzi made me a new button. Come by and grab it sometime. Have a fabulous weekend.
Alright, how about this, if we don't go to yoga during february we need to blog about something super embarrassing?
DeleteThanks for the heads up about the button, I updated it. :)
I hope you start to feel better soon. Good job with the no smoking. I haven't seen Les Miserables yet. I plan to. Love your video you added.
